Who We Are

Menzel Photography is a husband and wife team, David and Britta Menzel, working in Boise, ID and surrounding areas. We love Boise. It has been our home since we were married in 2005, excluding a brief but amazing stint in Australia. We have two kids, Gage and Petra, who are excellent photo models. We are very involved with our local church. We both sing and David plays guitar. We love the city, but also enjoy the occasional excursion into the wild (it sounds more extreme than it really is). What We Do

We take pictures, but more specifically, we capture moments that tell your story. Britta has been passionate about photography since she was a little girl, posing her Barbie dolls for photos. David has always been artistic and has more recently channeled that talent into photo editing. We make a great team because we have the same vision and style in that we like to capture vibrant, lively images. We work as often as possible with local vendors. This means that all of your prints are coming from Boise!

What To Expect

You have a story that is unique to you, and we want to capture it. We do more than show up and snap a few pictures. We will meet with you and listen to your story to understand what motivates you, and what inspired you to schedule a photo shoot. Having a chance to meet and chat ensures that you can be more comfortable in front of the camera, and that we know what you are looking for. When shooting with us, it’s more than a photo shoot, it’s an EXPERIENCE. It’s more than a snapshot, it’s ART.
